I got to go to school today to read Dr. Seuss books with Noah and some friends to celebrate his 104th birthday. The teacher sent a note asking parents (or whoever) to come in and to bring whatever Seuss books we had available to share with the rest of the class. While we don't have "Cat in the Hat" or "Green Eggs and Ham" - a couple of obvious choices, if you ask me - we do have quite a collection. We decided on 4 that he wanted to take - not including "Pooper Humperstink". Unfortunately, only 4 parents were there so we had larger groups. It turned out alright as Noah's friend Ian did have "Green Eggs and Ham". When we got to the end I said, "See, Noah? He tried it and found out he really liked it." And Ian said, "Yeah, Noah. Like if you would ever try pizza, you might really like it to. Although I tried potatoes once and I did NOT like them." So, daddy and I are hoping that he gets a little peer pressure to branch out a little. And had I thought about the message the book could have been sending, I would have gone right out and got one. In fact, if I have another baby, I might start reading that book each night right from the beginning. Anyhoo, it was a lovely morning at school with my favorite little kindergartener.

What fun! Maybe if he continues to wear his CAT IN THE HAT hat, he'll try these new foods! Darling photo of our Noah.
