We woke up to snow today. It tried to dampen our spring break, but we did not cave. See, Grandpa and Grandma offered a deal we just could not pass up. They are taking both boys to Michigan for the week. Now, we had our reservations. We know they don't always get along and taking the two of them might mean a miserable week for all involved but Grandpa and Grandma would not be deterred. So, daddy took everyone to the airport this afternoon.
There was some trouble with the flight and they got off a little late. But real trouble set it when they got to St. Louis. The flight was delayed one hour. Then 5 hours! They were offered $200 vouchers but were not going to get in to Detroit until 2:00 in the morning and then would have to drive home. I don't think anyone was excited about that. As it stands now, they are in an airport Hilton. No suitcases were offered so they are sleeping in their clothes and will be traveling in them tomorrow. Sound like a fun way to start their vacation? Well, it could only get better from here, right?
So what are we doing to entertain ourselves at home without our boys? Well, I sent daddy upstairs to change a baby diap and they returned dressed like this.
Complete with swim diap. He says she picked it out herself, he just humored her. She's asked a couple of times where everyone is but that is about all she's said so far. We'll see what she thinks tomorrow.

Ahhh, I love March. So, here is hoping everyone makes it home before it is time to come back to Kansas AND the weather shapes up. Come on, Spring Break!!!

After another delay in St. Louis, a stay in a motel in St. Louis WITHOUT LUGGAGE in a room sleeping 4 for the 5 of us (Noah sleeping on the floor) and a final arrival in Detroit around noon on Tues. The little veteran travelers did a great job adjusting and we are all doing just fine. Thank you very much!
