So apparently Jake was listening when we said he needed to hurry. The day isn't even done and it looks like his home is all done. Check this out!!

It has been less than 12 hours since the last photo. Maybe we will have a butterfly before our trip after all! So for the next two weeks we can look forward to Noah talking about Jake's raccoon. Though I think he has said cocoon a few times. Stay tuned! It's so very exciting!

I'm impressed that you knew he was a monarch caterpillar when you saw him outside! :-)
One thing I DID learn in school, I guess. That, and we used to find them with dad all the time.
I would've walked right past him! How long does it take for a caterpillar to molt anyway?? SOmeone tell him to hurry up!

The website said two weeks. And I am holding him to it because we are leaving at two weeks and three days. Grandma Page will then be cocoon-sitting. She's been instructed to take lots and lots of pictures.
