I am goin' to cooool!

Mommy, Noah and Benjamin went to get Noah a new school bag today. I found just the thing I thought he needed to have so after play center we headed to Pottery Barn Kids. I guess I must have raised my child right because we were pulling in to the parking lot and I said, "See the building with the blue on it, Noah? That is where we are headed!" He started screaming. "No, mama! Go to Target!!!" Am I a proud mom, or what? (Of course, as my mom will point out, that is because he is a boy. 'Wait until you have a girl and she will more than make up for what brand name things your sons do not need....' I have heard the speech one or two times before, can you guess?) Anyway... So in to the store we went so Noah could pick out his own bag. They had a giraffe, a horse, a cow, and a PINK elephant. (Have I mentioned that pink is Noah's favorite color?) Well, his dad gave me specific instructions - anything but the pink elephant. So which one does Noah go for? You guessed it... So I had to narrow it down - the cow or the giraffe. We tried them both on and he made his choice. He seemed really pleased with it until he realized that we were not getting all of them. Hopefully once I get the tags off of them and he can't see all the choices, he'll forget about the others. Noah was so excited about his new bag that he had to put it right on when we got out of the store. And he also had to wear it in the car on the way home. And boy was he mad when I pulled in to the garage at home. "No, mama! Go to coooool!" But then I reminded him that his lunch bag was empty and we had to go home to fill it up. Hopefully he is this excited when he really does have to wear it to school. My goodness, only one more month. We better all start psyching ourselves up for this.

That is the cutest bag I've ever seen. I love that he wore it home in the car.

School? Noooo ... he's getting too old.
