Goodbye, Summer!

So, yes, it may still be 100 degrees during the day (and still 90 at 8:45PM) but according to the school schedule, summer has ended. School started today. How can this be? I have every thing for Noah to start school, but that doesn't happen until after Labor Day. Even Benjamin has new clothes for music class - which starts next week. We even started choir and orchestra rehearsal last night. On our way to church last night, Christopher expressed his surprise at the fact that I did not use the opportunity to get us both new backpacks and school supplies. (I really wish I would have thought of that...) It is good to have something to look forward to each week again but I cannot believe how quickly time is going. With the start of school came the close of the neighborhood pool. Well, during the week, that is. So we went to celebrate the last night on Tuesday. As always, a fun time was had by all. (Please take note of Benjamin's super cool boat.) Daddy even went off the diving boards for Noah - the big one and the little one. Bye, bye, pool! Thanks for the memories! And hopefully, we will still remember how to use you when summer returns next year. And maybe we will actually be ready for the dolpin' slide.
