Benjamin's First Day of School
Well, music class, anyway. We dropped Noah off at Grandpa Bud's and made our way out to the church - just the two of us. It was almost as if Benjamin knew he would be getting my undivided attention for the next hour as he squealed the whole way out there. Miss Trilla was very happy to see Benjamin as the last time we saw her, he was T-1 week. There are about 10 children in the class with a good mixture of ages and genders. It should be a very fun class. It is called 'Feathers' so we will be learning all about birds. He even got a bird rattle to 'play'. Benjamin loved getting new toys to chew on. He also liked crawling around and making new friends. He was attracted to the little babies that laid on the floor. There were two 5 month old boys both with gigantic heads and not a lick of hair. He said he had never seen such a thing and he just couldn't keep his hands off of them. Unfortunately, no hair makes the ears easier to grab, so we will have to keep our distance in the future. But, boy, was he tired on the way home! Poor kid couldn't even close his little mouth. (See below.) And, of course, first day of school means new clothes. I do believe in my next life I would like to design baby clothes. At first I thought it was just jammies that I loved, but now I realize it is everything. 15 more weeks of music class... Do you know what that means? In just 16 weeks, Benjamin will be turning ONE! Wow - is that a countdown I would like to skip. All the more reason to enjoy our mommy & Benjamin time.
