Lessons from a Family Vacation

1. Kids don't go to bed until parents go to bed.

2. Noah grinds his teeth at night.

3. Daddy likes this a lot.

4. Noah cannot sleep on his own side of the bed at night.

5. Daddy likes this a lot, too.

6. It is a proven fact that our boys cannot walk past a trash can without rubbing their hands on it.

7. It is also a proven fact that our boys cannot rub their hands on trash cans and then NOT immediately touch them to their mouths and face.

8. Noah laughs in his sleep. Not just little snickers. Big, full out, belly laughs.

9. Disney must be the perfect place if everyone from a 40-yr-old single male to a young boy of 3 can have a wonderful time and starts making plans for returning before ever leaving.

10. It IS possible to wear Noah out. All it takes is 7 straight days of Disney madness with no naps and getting to bed late every night.

11. It is possible to watch Phineas & Ferb each evening for a week and still not have any idea what the show is about.

12. No matter how many times the TV gets tuned to the Hotel orientation channel, the boys will be mesmorized by it and you will not be able to take their attention from it.

13. Benjamin snores.

14. Our children are very happy little people. Regardless of the amount of sleep they had, when someone woke them the next morning, they were all smiles and ready to take on the day.

15. Unlimited refill cups for the length of your stay are one of the greatest inventions ever.

16. You don't need to take a whole suitcase full of snacks because you never eat them.

17. Disney has been there - done that. They sell little girl socks for babies whose grandmothers lose theirs somewhere in the Magic Kingdom. They also sell little boy pants for toddlers who get sick all over everything and need replacements.

18. There IS such a thing as too many desserts.

19. Our boys have no trouble rolling around on floors where billions of feet have passed before them - like the airport.

20. We are truly blessed to have a family that enjoys each other's company so much that we look forward to spending vactions together.
