Disney - Day Six
Today was Animal Kingdom. We learned a secret last year that you should be at the park first thing. Go directly to the safari ride because you get the best views of the animals early in the morning. Last year it worked out great. This year we were not as fortunate. We saw some animals but not to the extent we did last year. Here is a rhino sleeping.
We also saw some crocodiles, giraffes, elephants, and some birds. It is still pretty fun to see the animals all out in the open. After the safari we took the train back to Rafiki's animal exhibit.
They have lots of animals for viewing (like these snakes that my boys loved).
This is also where they do some vet checks on the animals. We got to see them doing a surgery on a deer of some sort. Not only are they right there behind big windows, they also have TVs so everyone can see. We had reservations for breakfast so we did not get to stay as long as the boys would have liked. We did have a nice breakfast, though, with Donald and his friends.
We were the last party seated for breakfast and stayed long enough that they had starting putting the lunch food out. Christopher sneaked some of that in to and thought it was a pretty good plan. This place also had a kids parade for Noah.
Next we went to "Bug's Life". It is located under the giant Tree of Life in the center of the park
and it is one of my favorites. Not only is it 3-D but they also have special effects like air and water blowing at you and little bugs crawling under your bum. I don't know how they do it, but I love that they do. It was fun to watch the boys. We haven't watched the movie in a long time so I wasn't sure how they would react to some of the scarier characters but they did fine. Noah reached out and tried to catch some of the little bugs that were flying in front us. Benjamin just sat stone still looking straight ahead as if he watched giant bugs fly at him all the time. They seemed to like it. Next we headed to Dinoland - another play area. It is full of slides of all sizes and the boys had a great time running and climbing. We had a hard time keeping up with them and finding where they were going to come out of each slide. We decided to head up towards the exit and to catch the Lion King show. Daddy and Noah went on ahead and got to meet some friends while they waited for the rest of us. Abby and Benjamin fell asleep on the walk up so I sat out with them while everyone else went to the show. It is a mini version of the Broadway show and they all really liked it. We decided from there to head back to the hotel. It was a beautiful, sunny day and we wanted to try to hit the pool before it cooled off. Just across from our room was this little fountain area. The boys did a great job of just walking by every time we went somewhere but they were VERY excited to finally get to play in it. It was Benjamin's first time for fountain play and he thought it was great.

We eventually made our way to the pool. They had a kiddie pool that we tried first but the water was pretty chilly so we didn't stay long. Noah wanted to go in the big pool but Benjamin was done at that point, so we sat and watched daddy and Noah swim. The trip wasn't exactly planned during swimming season, but I am glad we found one evening to squeeze it in, the boys really enjoyed it.

I just love these "action" shots of Benjamin and Noah! They were such GREAT kids throughout the whole week, not just when they walked by these fountains! And, that is the TRUTH...not just Grandma talking!
