Disney - Day Two

(FYI - I had these great intentions of recording our memories each night so all we would have to do is post when we got home. Didn't happen. Turns out the wee ones were not going to bed until we did so blogging got set aside. We'll do our best to fill in the blanks - and no. They will not all be a minute by minute description of our time at the Happiest Place on Earth.)

We set up our week based on which park we wanted to be at for specific activities. Being the slow season, not all parades and evening shows were offered every night so we had to plan accordingly. Today was Hollywood Studios for the Pixar Street Party and the nighttime water/laser light show 'Fantasmic'. Hollywood Studios is also the home of the Star Wars exhibit. We took Noah on the actual ride but he claims he did not like it. He was much more excited about the Darth Vader and Stormtrooper Jedi training show, though.
And the new Toy Story Mania ride? Totally cool! If you go for only one thing, I highly recommend it.
Hollywood Studios is also the place for the Pixar Street Party. We had high hopes for this as Pixar is pretty much all our children know. Major letdown. They did have most of the characters but rather than a normal parade where they just pass by, they stop and stay in one location for a LOOOOOONG time. Then the non-character people get off the floats and dance around. No one was interested in this. We moved on pretty quickly. Last for the day was 'Fantasmic'. We thought the boys would enjoy it so we planned our day around it. We forgot a couple of things, though. It is based on the Disney villians which might be kind of scary to little boys - even if they have never seen them. Or maybe, ESPECIALLY since they have never seen them. It is also pretty loud - something of which my boys have never been fans. There was much eye covering and talk of being "skee-wee" but we survived and I think they liked it. The show was supposed to be at 7:00PM but that one filled up so they added a second show at 8:30. Problem? The rest of the park closed at 7. So we just sat outside the theater and waited. Not the most fun. Benjamin and Abby napped and Noah sang to himself while people watching. He seemed entertained and never complained about being there, so I guess it was all good. Got back to the room pretty late and everyone went right to sleep.
