Disney - Day Three
Finally the day that has been talked about DAILY for 14 months. BACK TO MICKEY'S HOUSE! Up and at 'em early to get to the Magic Kingdom. The closer we got, the more Noah could remember from our last visit. It was cute to listen to him say, "Hey... I've been here before!" We were also reminded of just what a creature of habit he is. As he remembered things, we had to do them exactly as we had in the past. We even got his face painted and he picked the exact same face he did last year: Oh, well. If he's happy, that is all that matters, right? Grandma talked the characters way up to the boys so they were all ready to "give them five". Is there anything cuter than seeing your children with their favorite Disney friends?
Today was especially fun because we had our first character meal. And it just happened to be Winnie-A-Pooh and friends! I think it took Benjamin a while to warm up to the idea of these giant 'book friends' coming up and trying to hug him. At first he tried to hide under his napkin
but eventually he warmed to the idea. Somehow we missed getting Benjamin's picture WITH the bear.

I know - we are pathetic parents, aren't we? The restaurant also had a mini parade that the kids could participate in. Good thing our boys know about marching in parades! Our original plan had been to head back the hotel after lunch but we had second thoughts. We ended up sending Benjamin back to the hotel with Grandma and Grandpa while Noah and Abby stayed with us.
We were trying to let Noah pick the activities. We did try to offer a little guidance but he isn't so receptive to that, so we spent a lot of time walking from one end of the park to the other to hit the attractions he selected. One fun thing was the race cars.
Mom had to step on the peddle but Noah did the steering. I always thought those little guider bars under the car were a good idea but now I am not so sure. I didn't know you could get a car to rock back and forth so much. He had me laughing pretty good. (Almost like riding in a stick shift with his daddy.) I think it is safe to say the favorite part of the day for the boys was playing on the playground equipment. Whether it was Mickey's or Pooh's house, they had a blast. And, probably, since it did not involve standing in line and they got to run and scream, can you blame them?

Now was that worth all the effort of getting to Disney World for a playground? Well, YEAH!!! (You had to know I was going to say that, didn't you?) We stayed and watched the fireworks. They played part of the "Sorcerer's Apprentice". Needless to say, that was a big hit.
