Sleeping

We learned last year that all 5 of us in one room was not the best option, so we decided before hand that we would let the kids sleep in the bedroom and we would sleep in Murphy bed in the living room. We knew the boys would never give up their bunk beds, after all.
(Where better to watch TV from, right?) Abby made a push for it right from the beginning, though.
(After our arriving at the second cabin, she climbed right on to Benjamin's bed and got comfy for some cartoon-watching.) And since no one gave in, she claimed a different bed for herself. Why sleep in a pack-n-play when this giant full size bed was going to waste? We'd put her to bed in the pack-n-play and she'd climb right out and get in the big bed.
I have to admit, she looked pretty cute in there, but we are glad that she forgot all about it her new-found freedom when we got home - she's still plenty happy in her crib. And in the mornings when she would wake up, since she couldn't open the door to come see us, she just climbed in to bed with Bum-Bum. Auhhh... All three children thought it was so fun to wake up and turn the TV on and just lay in bed - we did, too, because it meant almost a whole additional hour of quieter time before they got going for the day. We gave Abby a nap the first full day we were there thinking that with the long travel day she would be exhausted. While she went right to sleep, she stayed up that night until after 11:00PM. We didn't do anymore naps. And everyone got along just fine. We also figured out this year that our cabin had heat! Boy did that make a difference! My parents claim they knew that last year, but no one told us and we froze out little tookies off! So, heat was a welcome addition. We do love our cabins! So much so that we claimed one for ourselves.
Surely they will leave this up for our trip back next year, right?

Great job with the banners, Stephanie. How could anyone NOT love these little cabins....especially with HEAT, right?
