I've been praying for a family I learned about through some friends. A husband of 15 years and a father of children roughly the ages of Noah and Abby was diagnosed with skin cancer last year. He lost his battle this weekend.
Then I talked to my mom on Sunday. She told me about a guy I went to high school with. He and his wife of 14 years were expecting their first child at the end of February. They were in a car accident on Saturday. He survived. Doctors delivered the baby. She had no heartbeat and she wasn't breathing. They resuscitated her but are still waiting to see some brain activity. Please pray for a miracle for this sweet baby and all kinds of faith and comfort for her daddy. You can follow their story here.
Kind of puts complaining about too much laundry to put away in to perspective, doesn't it? From now on, I hope to take each squabble, wrestling match, and talk-back in stride. After all, in the end it means my children are around to be little 'terrors'. And, Lord willing, my husband will be here to enjoy each minute of it with me.
Be sure to kiss your kids and your spouse an extra time - or two - each day from here on out.

I can't even fathom. Losing everything in one moment.
Thanks for the reminder.
Chad has shown unbelieveable faith as he sits by his daughter's little crib with such a painful heart! Prayers are flying for them all, but today does not look good for Little Miranda. Imagine Chad's feelings as he held his little girl yesterday, knowing that ONLY THE GREAT PHYSICIAN can pull her through now! Stephanie is so right....love our families..especially when times push us to the limit (so we think)...and be thankful!
