Downtown Disney

One of our favorite Disney destinations is Downtown Disney. If you've never been, it is mostly a gigantic shopping area. (It has nothing to do with the parks - requires no ticket.) Well, for us now it is. Before kids, and maybe someday again, it also has a lot of restaurants, clubs, etc. And people. It has a LOT of people. It also has a carousel.
And some of our favorite friends.
But, it also has the LEGO store,
so it was at the top of my sons' lists of things we would be doing on vacation. Our first day, we got up and headed over. We let the boys walk around and pick out something that they might want to "earn" while on vacation and then promised to go back before leaving to get it. Noah picked out a ninja LEGOs and Benjamin - surprise, surprise - picked out ninja LEGOs. Benjamin was way more excited about buliding a LEGO car, though, to race on the track.
Poor kid never made it all the way down the hill. I'm sure it was his assistant's fault. Abby, on the other hand, picked out everything.
And when we got back to our cabin, we found this on Abby's bed.
Soooo, Woody and Buzz - playing while no one was around to watch...

The people that clean the cabins surely do earn their $$$. The "extras", like Buzz and Woody's waterslide, make us think they like their jobs. Downtown Disney is as fun for Gr. and Gr. just watching the little ones run from one "hands on" toy area to another.
