We're Home

We made it back home Friday evening without a hitch**. While I was disappointed (as always) that we didn't choose the last flight out for the day, we made it home in plenty of time to have dinner, do baths, and ALL be in bed by 8:00. I have to admit it was much nicer than getting home at 10:00. (But, don't tell my husband I said that...) Especially since we were up and at'em the next morning for a 9:00AM basketball game. We had another wonderful vacation and are so thankful to Grandma and Grandpa Randolph for making it all possible. And, as luck would have it, with another 8-10 inches of snow promised this week (AND ice - what joy!), I should have plenty of time to fill in on the rest of our trip.

**So there was one hitch... Abby had been fighting off a cold throughout the week. The cool evenings took a toll on her. She lasted until we got on the plane - or just before - and lost her battle. I barely got her settled in to her seat before she fell asleep. Unfortunately, she was only asleep for about an hour - then she was just miserable for the rest of the flight. She didn't make much noise, which was good for everyone else on the full flight, but I felt terrible that I couldn't do anything to make her feel better. I was really, really glad that we got right home and could put her right to bed.
