Free Tuesdays

As you probably saw in our Christmas letter, I have had Tuesdays to myself during the school year. Now, when we enrolled everyone in school we thought I would have an infant at home and it would be a nice break from the "big kids" and some special time with the baby. When those plans changed, I felt guilty about sending everyone off to school while I sat home alone. My wise husband encouraged me to try it anyway - we could always change it if it wasn't working. But I think it is working. I still feel guilty about taking a day to myself but I am trying to enjoy it. (And it does help immensely that Benjamin and Abby LOVE going to school and staying for lunch with their friends.) This semester I really do hope to use my "day off" to do things around the house to prepare it for selling - but not today. Today I had to make a cute little Valentine's Day dress.
Complete with heart-shaped stitching around the hem.
And because I didn't get a chance to post them before, here is the Halloween dress,
and a Christmas dress I made also.
I can honestly say I am addicted to these clothes. I already have the St. Patrick's Day material washed and ready to go and I bought Easter stuff last year that I didn't get around to, so I'll probably try to fit that fit in sometime as well. But, really, I will be working on the house. I promise. Someday... And I should note that I have also worked on the boys' bedroom (which I will try to photograph once I get the new bookcase in) and I made a quilt for Abby - which will be photographed in my new house, in her new bedroom, in the near future. I hope.

If I find out that you did anything but "fun" stuff on your "Free Day" -- I am coming to KS to kick your bootie! If ever you feel guilty, call me up and will talk you out of it. You work hard every single day and you totally deserve that day to do the things you need to do to keep sane!

And those dresses are ADORABLE! :-) Are they easy enough for me?

Well, thanks, Cam! :)

YES! Anyone can make them - if you can sew a straight line. The pillow dress is especially easy.

ahoo.comI am soooo happy to see my girl sewing for her little girl. I loved sewing for Stephanie and am so proud she has confidence to give it a try! The dresses, etc. have been darling. I agree with Cammie....YOU DESERVE A DAY TO YOURSELF....just wish you were closer so we could share the day.
