Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Poor daddy's birthday is so close to July 4th (6-29) that when we go out of town, that usually means we are out of town for his birthday too. I know he doesn't really mind where he is when we celebrate but I wanted to do something special for him. I used the computer printer to make t-shirt transfers. Again, I did not take in to consideration that we would be stuck in our cabin all day. So we were really the only ones who got to see the shirts. But daddy was still surprised and that's all I was going for anyway. Daddy ordered grilled steaks for dinner. (Luckily the rain slowed long enough for us to cook them.) It was too wet (and cold) to eat out at the picnic tabes so we all squeezed in to one cabin to eat. Close quarters but we made it. Abby enjoyed her first taste of steak. And she didn't even seem to mind she had to eat [while sitting] on the floor. Meijer was kind enough to provide some angel food cake for dessert - daddy's favorite. Then we opened presents.Along with his Sesame Street t-shirt from Noah and his remote control R2D2 from Benjamin, he got 'The Office' season 1. After we'd get the kids to bed at night (and Laurel and Hardy finished their bedtime routine) we would curl up in bed, plug in our earphones, and watch it on the computer. (That's really the only problem with one-room living quarters...) Daddy said he had a very good day - and that's all that counts.

It won't let me blow up the shirt pictures -- what do they say?

The kids' fronts say "Happy Birthday, Daddy!" and the back says "Wish my daddy Happy Birthday." Christopher's says "You say it's your birthday? It's my birthday too, yeah!"

VERY easy to do. I highly recommend the computer transfers. Just don't forget to reverse it before printing.
