Forgetful? Or, a Pathological Liar?

Of course we were all questions about Noah's first day. He actually did very well in responding to our questions, which doesn't always happen, but we do wonder about some of his responses. What did he have for morning snack? "Crackers. Animal crackers. Elephants and Polar bears." We'll buy that. Did you sing any songs? "Wheels on the Bus." Again a suitable answer. What was your favorite part of the day? "The sandbox." His dirty little face proved this one. But then we started running in to trouble... Who are your new friends? "Eric." There wasn't an Eric in his class. (Eric IS a friend in Sunday School so we are going to let this one slide and not assume that he has learned about imaginary friends already.) What did you eat for lunch? "PIZZA!!!" Now mommy packed his lunch, so unless he is already class bully and stole it from someone else, I am fairly certain that is not what he had. Unfortunately, they throw out all the food after lunch so we couldn't deduct what he really did eat. But, since it was his first day, we will be a little lenient in labeling him today. We will have to keep track, though, and see how old he is before his answers really are the truth.

Good luck with that one. Sarah is almost 8 and we still get the "I dunno" response to EVERYTHING!

Yes, I figure there is a fine line between not remembering all the facts and, 'What did you do at school today?' 'Nothing.' Followed by marching straight to his room where he will stay for the remainder of the day. So, at least he is trying to answer us at this point. :)
