Splash!

Noah successfully completed his first set of swimming lessons on Thursday. Thanks to the rain that has been falling non-stop for 5 days now, he was the only child in class on the last day but I don't think that changed his opinion of matters at all. If anything, it made his class better because he got his teacher, Miss Amanda, all to himself. He would talk about her from the time we left until we arrived again the next day. Of course, when we got to the pool, he would have nothing to do with her. But he did always have to know where she was and he really liked it when she was watching him. Noah worked on blowing bubbles (which he already knew how to do from the bathtub) and he learned to float on his tummy and his back, sometimes even using kicking and 'big arms'. He also took a liking to the 'surfboards' and loved to paddle around on those. But what he liked best was jumping off the side to his mommy. The second week the big kids starting jumping off the diving board and he was infatuated with that. (We spent a great deal of time lying in the water watching the kids jump.) So much so that almost everything in our house has become a diving board. He loves to get everyones attention, count to three, jump to the floor, and yell, "Splash!" He can even imitate perfectly the little girl who got scared on the big diving board and had to be helped down as he scrunches into a ball with his fists clinched to his face. I really do think he is going to be an actor. Mommy is kind of sad that the lessons are over because she sure had fun swimming with Noah. We will most definitely be getting a pass to use for the rest of the summer, though. So hopefully we will have more pictures to share. I hope he isn't too disappointed that Miss Amanda will no longer be there, though.

Hooray Noah! And Mommy, being an actor would be wonderful! He could take care of us all then.
