Noah's Vocabulary Sound Game
Noah's vocabulary is quite extensive at this point and he loves to use it. A lot. One of his favorite games is to list every word he knows. Once he realizes you are playing his game, he speeds up. He will list a word, you make the sound, he lists another word, and on and on it goes until you mess up. And he just keeps going faster and faster. It is amazing, really, how good he is at categorizing his words: animals, vehicles, etc. Although sometimes he gets a little confused. Or does he??? Maybe he is just trying to stump you... For instance, in playing with daddy the other night they were making their way through animals at the farmer: duck/quack, baby duck/peep, goose/honk, pig/oink, etc. Then Noah throws a curve ball: sand. Stopped daddy dead in his tracks. Daddy finally had to admit that he didn't know what sound 'sand' makes. Noah - One. Daddy - Zero. If Noah was disappointed or ashamed of his father, he did not let on. He went right on with easier choices for daddy. Something tells me we will be playing this game for a long time.

That kid is so much like you. I just know he was giggling inside.
