A-one, and a-two...

Now that he is mobile, we have started Benjamin on his daily exercise regimen. It did not take him long in the exersaucer to figure out what he was supposed to do. He has not learned how to jump in it yet (as he does the Johnny-Jump-Up) but I am sure that will come in time. As you can see, his first time in he kept the pacifier in the whole time. He quickly discovered that all those toys were his for the chewing and that pesky pacifier just gets in the way. And after all that exercise, what could be better than a tall, cool glass of water? That is right - at just 5 1/2 months, our son has conquered the sippy cup. He didn't even care that it had water in it and he had never tasted water before. He just put it right in his mouth and gulped it down as if he had been doing it forever. Maybe it was something he learned from watching his big brother. And maybe, just maybe, it is a sign that he will only learn the good habits from his brother. What? A parent can wish, can't she???

Another smart Randolph child I see. Can I take some of those genes for my children so I don't end up with the Jeff Foxworthy watching the fan kid?
