Hello, Baseball Season! It is good to have you back. It has been a long 6 months but your return means spring is just around the corner and we are soooo ready for that. While my husband might not be as excited about the upcoming season as he used to be, I can tell he is happy you are here. (He is even creating his own app to get [college] baseball scores sent right to him. That's my honey!) So, just how did we welcome "the boys of summer" back to town? Dressed the kids in their baseball finery.
(Abby was SO proud of her 'Woyals' shirt - she showed it to everyone we passed.) No Opening Day tickets (which I am not so happy about, but what's a girl to do?) so we had to make the most of out time at home. Broke out the baseball place mats.
Had baseball's finest - hot dogs and popcorn - for lunch.
(Uh, yes. Grapes are official baseball food. Ask guest services the next time you are at the ball park.) Complete with popcorn served in mini baseball hats.
And since daddy and Noah missed out on the lunch fun, we saved the baseball cupcakes for dinner.
Now unfortunately the boys in blue did not win their first game. However, they did manage to win the next three - and that is something we have not been able to say with a straight face in a long time. (Daddy and Noah even got to go to the game today!) C'mon, boys!! Let's put the fun back in summer baseball.
