Straight to the 'Show Girlfriend' file
I took these pictures of Noah this weekend. They pretty much sum him up at this very moment in time. Even better than that, I know they are photos he will absolutely dread in the future and will NOT want me sharing with the special someones he brings home. Which probably means I will do just that.
Since the second he was born Noah has wanted to hold on to something. Very early on he took to his burp clothes (now affectionately known as nite-nites). We went against all doctors' orders and have put him to bed with one since the beginning. When he is tired or hurt or grumpy - give him a nite-nite and the world in a better place. We even stressed ourselves a little when Benjamin was born as to what we would do about having to use burp clothes with a new baby and Noah not wanting to share. (We ended up getting Benjamin printed ones so they could easily be told apart.) Well, now that he is mobile and knows where the nite-nites are kept, he usually gets out whatever is in the basket. For a while he had given them up during the day but he is back to carrying them all through the house. It takes quite a while to get down to breakfast as he has to bring ALL of them with him and when we drop one (which is about every step) we have to drop them all and try to pick them back up. We wonder sometimes how long he will have this affection for his lovies. No one can say for sure, however, we did just find his daddy's blankie and Grandma Campbell says daddy kept it hidden under his pillow until he was about 8. Isn't that sweet?!!?

Secondly, we have Fire Marshall Noah. In going through some boxes daddy found his fireman's hat. He asked Noah if he wanted to play with it and he immediately put it on his head for our walk. He also had to carry his sand bucket. He made it about halfway around the block before daddy ended up with all the goodies. Had to have his hands free to get to the pretzels. Love you, Noah Douglas!
