Pirate Camp

This was a very big year for Benjamin. He was FINALLY old enough to attend summer camp - all by himself. He has been patiently counting down the days and was so excited when it was his turn to go. Throughout the week he had special themes he was to dress for each day. He had red day. Pirate day. And favorite Disney character day. Everyone decided to get in on the fun this time and apparently they thought it was actually "movie star" day. Friday night was the big performance. He was excited for his show and "to do dancing with Kennedy." She is his new girlfriend and he thought they should have fancy dancing clothes like they did on "Dancing with the Stars". But I finally convinced him that she would not be wearing the pretty yellow dress, but rather her pirate clothes, so he could to. Luckily, he believed me. (That's Kennedy. She's six.) I guess we were a little spoiled with Noah's past camp experiences where they actually acted out their skits. Benjamin's class just stood in a row to sing
and then sat on boxes to wait for their turn to speak.
It was kind of disjointed, but he was happy with it and that is all that matters.

Great job, Benjamin! Mommy did a great job with your pirate costume too. You look very authentic! Loved your singing and saying your lines. Love you, Benjamin Scott!
