Benjamin's Backyard Beach

We had hoped to have Benjamin's class over for an end of the year picnic and sprinkler party. Unfortunately, the day we planned it, it was rainy and cold, so we had to reschedule. Last Friday turned out to be the perfect day for some outdoor fun and the kids had a great time. The sprinkler was a big hit.We couldn't keep this kid out of there! She'd just squeal and run.

For awhile they tried to hide under the water. I was amazed at how many of these little people could fit under the spray.

The various sandboxes were also a hit.
At one point the boys went on some kind of nature hike.
Lunch time arrived and the herd separated themselves - males and females. We had to work pretty hard to get all the girls at this table but they wold have it no other way. Benjamin put up a fight about Maeric sitting at the girl's table, but he was outvoted.

They did find some together time before the party ended.

Does this look like an accident?

Benjamin had such a fun class (with fun parents for us, too). We will definitely miss being all together next year.
