Out With the Old...

Noah passed his two week trial of the full arm cast with flying colors. We bought a special silver sharpie that he took to school and got all of his friends to sign his cast.He never complained about having to bathe with a plastic bag tied around his arm. Finally the big day came. His buddy Justin (who he assured me was Justin Bieber) who put the purple cast on, got to take it off. He used a little mini saw.He warned Noah that it was kind of loud and offered him some earphones which Noah gladly accepted.
After prying the the pieces apart, he cut the under cloth.
Then Noah got to help pry it apart.
And here was left of his temporary arm.
His hand was pretty grubby, but I thought his arm looked good.
He assured me it still hurt "right here."His inner debate came to an end and orange won. Waterproof orange, I might add.
The new arm.
No signatures, he decided. Just gonna stay orange. Bright orange. The doctor said he might experience some pain in his elbow now that he could move it as it was held stationary for a few weeks. He has not made a single complaint. He is just a trooper. Now, come on June 27!

Glad to see healing is taking place. Bet this cast is a little cooler...AND, WATERPROOF should help a lot in the Kansas Summer Heat.
