Pumpkin Patch

What better way to start Pumpkin Patch day than with your Halloween Krispy Kremes??
We cleaned off everyone's frosting and made our way to the Farmstead Pumpkin Hollow. Look, everyone - all three kids in the same frame and no one is crying!!!Found some geese that humored them and honked back. Every. Single. Time. Also got to spend some time chatting with the turkeys. Then it was time to catch the hayride to Pumpkin Hollow.First stop? The slide, of course. They were actually at the top and down before I could get over there to take the picture. But Benjamin was kind enough to do it a second time for mom.Abby spent the majority of her time playing in the corn. This girl loves to dig and fill buckets.Everyone tried their hand at magnet fishing. Abby tried (and succeeded once) to climb in to the pool. Her shoe, sock, and pant leg dried out pretty quickly, surprisingly.A few quick runs through the corn maze.Hay bale jumping. WOOHOO!!!Then it was time for "the hunt". My kids seem to be the only ones who just decide the first one they see is perfect and they are on to the next thing. They did humor me for a few more pictures. Boy, do I love the color orange as a backdrop.Unfortunately, as we were ready to leave I discovered that my littlest pumpkin was not feeling well. She had a fever and just wanted her mommy. Oh, darn, hunh? We got home and Abby went straight to bed. Christopher went out to work in the yard and his shift supervisor made himself comfortable. Slushie and all.
Minus the fever (which was gone by the following morning), it was a wonderful day. Pumpkin patch day is always one of my favorites.
