Disney Vacation - Day 2

Unbeknownst to Grandpa and Grandma, we had a special event planned for Monday night, so we chose to have a relaxing day. Noah and daddy hit the pool for a while before we headed to Downtown Disney for dinner and play. Noah tried out the Merry Go Round and the train. He also spent lots of time playing on the play area at Legoland. Benjamin got to watch. He did get to do some bird watching and that was very exciting. He would point and practically jump right out of your arms, he would get so excited. Then we had our first Rainforest Cafe experience with the boys. Noah was not bothered by the animals or the sound effects and Benjamin was just too tired to appreciate any of it, so mommy had to hold him while he napped. After dinner we headed to Fort Wilderness to board a chartered pontoon boat to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the water. It was a little chilly but we still had a great time. We got a tour of the little bay and learned some new things about the park. We also got to see the Electric Light Parade which travels from resort to resort each evening, apparently showing the same show for the last 30 years. We were fortunate enough to see it at almost every stop. Uncle Joel was very pleased by this. The fireworks show was wonderful and we had a quick easy transfer back to our hotel. I should mention that none of our transfers would have been possible without our entire extended family, though. Every time we got on the bus we had to fold up the stroller which meant someone had to watch/carry both children along with 2 diaper bags, 2 cups, sweatshirts, the huge stroller, etc. It's times like this Christopher and I suspect we will never be able to travel alone with our children. How grateful we were for everyone's help!

What a wonderful surprise the boat tour was!!! The weather was chilly, but warmer than Michigan! And, the evening was really perfect. The light parade was very cool...wonder why no one had ever told us about this before! Watching the fireworks from the boat was great....didn't have to fight the crowds..AND, WE HAD A PLACE TO SIT!! Thanks, kids. You're the BEST!
