Happy birthday, Benjamin!

How can this sweet little boy be 10 months old already? He is the busiest boy you'd ever meet as he is always on the go. (Grandma Bonnie is sure he puts a couple hundred miles on his knees each day.) He still shows no real interest in walking although this past weekend he spent a lot of time free standing. (I think he was just too busy to notice he was no longer holding on to anything.) He now has 8 teeth and he is putting them to good use. He is very daring in the kitchen and seems to give any thing a try once. But, fool him once.... and he is too smart to fall for it a second time. That doesn't mean that he won't try it again a second day, though. He has tried meatloaf, French fries, French toast, steamed veggies, string cheese, cottage cheese - just to name a few. I think his favorite is definitely the pickle spears and dried fruit, though. He much prefers foods he can feed himself which is fine with us. At lunch this afternoon, he sat and gnawed away on an apple while the rest of us finished eating. Here's keeping our fingers crossed that we can all keep this up. Maybe we will have a good eater after all! And here is also hoping that the next two months go really, really slowly so we can enjoy every minute we have left with 'little' Benjamin Scott!
