I haven't done a good job of blogging it this summer but Noah has become quite the baseball junkie. I think it is safe to say he got 100% of his dad's love of the game x 2. We have been curious to see what happens when the season ends and a new sport takes center stage in the press. With football season underway, we have noticed some slight interest leaning in that direction. (Although, I might take this opportunity to point out the Chiefs are doing their best to make sure he doesn't have to compete with them for entertainment...) He's asked about listening to the games on the radio and whether or not we would ever get to go to a game. Well, unfortunately for Noah, mom and dad are not Chiefs fan. Daddy pays attention to the NFL games but mommy could really care less. And both of us are against spending the amount of money it would take to get us all to a game - parking alone is $27. However, fortunately for Noah, his best friend's family has season tickets and had an extra ticket for the home opener. We thought that fit in pretty well with his half birthday so when they asked if he could go, we jumped all over it. We managed to keep it a secret until bedtime the night before. He was so excited! (This is what your seats look like when you have been season ticket holders for over 30 years...)
Looks like he tried his best to pay attention (to a game he knows nothing about, mind you).
But then the schedule burning a hole in his pocket got the best of him and he just couldn't ignore it anymore. (Or perhaps the game was already in the tank and he thought he should find something better to do with his time.)
Looks like they took a quick spin through the gift shop on their way out.
The report is that he was a perfect little man at the game. And we are so thankful for such giving friends willing to share the experience with him.

What a lucky little guy to have friends take him to a REAL FOOTBALL GAME for his 1/2 birthday! He and Eric look so cute in their Chiefs' shirts.
Too bad the Chiefs got clobbered. Actually, maybe a good thing. Maybe he won't ask Mom and Dad to spend the money to go to another game!
