Boo at the Zoo
We made our second annual trek to Boo at the Zoo on Saturday. Halloween has been a much-talked-about happening in this house for a good month or more now and this was our first big activity. We again attended with our good friends, the Potts family, and had a wonderful day. Halloween costumes were donned
and haunted pirate ships were visited. (We read about this in the newspaper and Noah asked EVERY morning if it was time to go to the pirate ship yet. He seemed to like it just fine and asked to go through it several times.)
The weather was beautiful. We did not make it around to see any animals and, surprisingly, did not get much gruff about that. Maybe because the boys all kept themselves plenty busy doing other things.

And Abby got to hang out with Aunt Ingrid.
We also rode the train, although we did not get any pictures of it. We were cute. You'll just have to take my word for it. The trick-or-treating was a little wanting this year as the boys got things like pencils and toothbrushes and Royals magazines. They did not seem to mind but the parents took notice. We wondered aloud how long it would be before they start saying, "A toothbrush?!!?! Are you kidding me??!?!" They also played on the playground. Noah and Benjamin were a little taken aback at times when they came face to face with kids in ugly masks so we had to stay close by in case they jumped to safety. Hopefully, that is not what they remember about Halloween and let's hope that it stays with them so they don't ever ask to wear costumes like that. Thankfully, our first Halloween activity was a good one. Let's hope the rest of our week goes just as well.
