Well, the sad day has come... Our extended vacation has come to an end. I'm sure everyone is disappointed about this, although the kids might not know it until tomorrow when daddy is not home anymore. In the last two weeks, he has only had to work a few afternoons and we have soooo enjoyed having him home. I tried talking him in to taking his 5 weeks of vacation all right up front but he wisely declined. Here is a little bit of what we will be missing now that vacation is over: We FINALLY taught our children how to sleep in. 8:30... Sometimes even 9:00! It was beautiful. We didn't have to wake up one morning with an alarm clock - well, not the plugged-in kind, just the two-and-a-half feet tall kind. The boys would jump in our bed and a gigantic wrestle, tickle, gigglefest would generally follow. Boy, they are loud as soon as they get up, but it was still the best way to wake up. Unfortunately, the late wake up did a number on naps. By the end of the two weeks no one was napping. AND, we were all staying up way too late. But, with no place to go, it was really no problem. I just wonder how long it will take to recover. We have had all kinds of fun playing with our new toys and games galore and, really, just enjoying each other. I'm sad to see it end. So, tomorrow it is back to life as normal. Boooooo!
That said, there is one thing we will be happy to see go. Benjamin has appeared to have un-potty-trained himself. I have no idea why this has happened. While actually training, he NEVER had trouble and if he had an accident, he cleaned it up usually without mentioning it to us. Now? Not so much... He is having accidents all over the place and when we finally notice and call him on it, he thinks it is funny, funny. I am really not pleased with this latest development and we have no idea what we are to do with it. Do we ignore it? Do we put him back in diapers and start from ground zero? Do we get angry? None of these choices sounds good. Anyone with any advice is invited to share.
With all that out of the way, here is what we spent a LOT of time doing. With all kinds of snow and no place better to be, why not?? Now, I'll gladly go on record as saying that I am NOT a fan of winter or snow, really. But, storms like this I could get used to.

And, our littlest snowlady. Now, this picture would imply that Abby was not a fan of her winter gear.
Not true. The truth is, she couldn't wait to get out in the stuff. She LOVED getting hit with snowballs - through the door, of course.

I think it reminded her of the bathtub so she could flop all around. She had a great time.
Truth is, we all did. But, that said, it can go away now. As Noah says, "Chrstmas is over. We want spring." Amen, boy. Amen.
