She's 4!

A certain little girl got to celebrate her birthday in Michigan.  And not just anywhere in Michigan - in Ludington!!  (I suppose that is one benefit of having a summer birthday.)  Because we were staying in a hotel, Grandma and I made sure we packed some candles to help us celebrate.  

We even packed matches.  However, we forgot to see if the matches were any good.  Lucky for us, she didn't notice that her candles weren't lit.  

She was just as happy with her birthday donut and Trix yogurt.

And what should we do after breakfast but head to the beach!!  It was HOT, but the water was perfect.

 They loved running in and out of the water and jumping in the waves.

They also loved playing in the sand.

 And after a full day at the beach, we headed to THE greatest ice cream place for some pre-roadtrip dessert.  Grandma let Abby open her presents so she and Miles had a little time for princess play before the food came out.

 None for Noah.  When will I convince this kid he needs to eat ice cream??

  We were very fortunate to have some quality time with Cammie and family.  The kids totally hit it off.  So sad that they live in Vegas and we will not get to see more of them!

After ice cream, we drove back to Jackson.  Probably not the best choice for birthday activities, but I think all in all it was a great day.  Daddy did say that he hoped she didn't plan to spend her birthday at the beach every year.  (Maybe he just meant without him...)

I can't believe Abby is 4 already!  She is such a happy girl and a pure joy.  We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with her.
