Newest Pirate Wear

The Hamburger House (Red Robin) has become a favorite hang out for all. We especially like to hit Monday nights because it is Kid's Night. They usually have a lady walking around making balloon 'animals' for the kids. Noah usually asks for a sword. Go figure, right? Well, this particular night, we talked him in to asking for a little more. His new gear didn't last long, unfortunately. He did not heed the warnings about sticking his sword in the grass. And once that had popped, the rest of it seemed unnecessary to him, I guess, as I ended up carrying it all the rest of the way around the block. They have a rule about not giving anything to kids under three, so Benjamin doesn't get anything but he doesn't seem to upset by this. Yet.Uncle Scott found some pirate gear for us also. He sent it down with his 'Pirates of Penzance' video. I figured - pirates... singing all the time... it was bound to be a hit with Noah. We have only watched about a half an hour so far. He seems to like it just fine. I can't wait to hear him singing, "Poor wandering one... Though thou hast surely strayed..." Benjamin got the same get up but he would have nothing to do with it. We will keep trying, though.

We get around the "under 3" rule by asking for the balloon for one of us. As long as the parent is the one receiving the balloon, it all works out. Just in case Benjamin changes his mind... :-)
