Slip-slidin' Away

We bought this little slip and slide at WalMart at the end of last summer for $3.00. The sliding part, as well as the elephant, are inflatable. The hose attaches to the back of the elephant head and makes the water squirt out his trunk. Daddy and I didn't feel up to dragging the boys (and all the stuff) to the pool so we thought we would try this. Noah loved it! Without any direction he figured out what was to be done and he'd run and jump and land in the pool down at the bottom. Benjamin liked splashing in the pool but daddy tried pushing him down the slide a couple of times and he wasn't very excited about that. Noah discovered pretty quickly that he could aim the elephant's trunk and spray Benjamin in the head and face. Luckily, that little Benjamin is a good sport. While the chill took his breath away, he didn't get too upset about it. He did call it quits before his brother, though. Noah asks frequently if it is time to get the elephant slide out again so while he probably still prefers the pool, it is good to know that we have a back-up plan that can be used when needed.

Way to go, Noah!! You show Benjamin how to do it and soon he'll race you to the elephant.

Mom and I were cracking up. And Benjamin just stands there like Noah didn't even interrupt his playing with the water.
