Oh, daddy! wooooOOOOOK!

CARPET! Noah has started a new game with daddy - admiring the carpet. (Mommy doesn't do it right so only daddy gets to play.) Noah will shriek, "Daddy! Carpet!" (Or, sometimes, 'Christopher!' as they are now on a first name basis.) And they go upstairs, downstairs, in the hallway, etc. checking out the carpet. So they can see it best, they lie on their tummies and rub the carpet. Being the good daddy that he is, he found a teachable moment. They now talk about how soft the carpet is but the bedrooms are hard floors. Unfortunately, daddy goes back to work tomorrow. If mommy can't learn how to play correctly, this game will come to an abrupt end.

That is a good daddy! I'd get bored with it and be like, go show your Mom:)

When Sarah was 3, we were at her aunt's house and all the kids called her dad, "Uncle Mitch". That was the first time she'd heard that -- she was so confused as to why everyone was calling him that name! :-)
